

In addition to the Main Camp programs, Badger Camp offers a Primitive Camp and a Travel Program. These programs offer a variety of choices from horseback riding to a trip down the Mississippi River. They are limited to 6-16 campers per session and are guided by 2-5 experienced staff members. Both Primitive Camp and the Travel Program are designed for those looking for a unique and somewhat more challenging experience.
Individuals must be at least 18 years old to attend the Travel Program except for the Young Adults Adventure.

Pioneer Week:
Have you ever wondered how the pioneers lived? Spend the week learning how to cook meals, such as stew and cobbler, and make candles all over an open fire. Pioneers will also have the opportunity to explore their natural surroundings by going on hikes on some of camp's many trails and spending a night under the stars at one of our campsites. Additional activities include fishing, crafts, swimming, and more!
Music Week:
Get ready for a toe tappin' good time during our music filled session! Campers will learn how to make their own instruments, create lyrics to a Badger Camp original song, and perform a skit at Friday's Talent Show. Fishing, hiking, camping along with all of your favorite Badger Camp activities will be waiting for you!
Canoe Week:
Prepare for a fun and exciting week of canoeing, fishing, and camping. All participants are taught canoeing skills in our swimming pool before experiencing the backwaters of the Mississippi River at Wyalusing State Park. Previous experience with canoeing is not required, but please come ready and willing to participate! Campers will have to pass a swim test (about 25 yards in length) in order to canoe. Crafts, hiking, and many more activities await you here at camp!
Horseback Riding Week:
Participants will spend the week learning how to care for and ride horses. The week will begin with a trip to a local horse farm, where you will receive a tour of the farm and will learn how to feed and groom the horses. Participants will then be provided a safe and fun riding experience throughout the rest of the week in our newly built riding corral and will ride in a demonstration at Friday's Talent Show. No prior riding experience is required. Badger Camp is requiring that participants pay an additional $25 fee to help cover extra costs. Additional activities include crafts, hiking, fishing, and more!
Horseback Riding/Adventure Camp:
Campers will enjoy extra time at camp and will have even more time to participate in exciting activities for horseback riding and adventure week, along with other special activities that take place throughout the week. No prior riding experience is required. Additional activities include hiking, crafts, fishing and much more!
Theater Arts Week:
Have a flare for the dramatic? Join us as we spend the week creating, writing and directing a Wisconsin Badger Camp original play. Participants will then perform their production for the rest of camp at Friday's Talent Show. Additional activities include camping, crafts, hiking, fishing, and more!
Sibling Week:
This special session is designed specifically for siblings ages 7-13 of children with developmental disabilities. At Sibling Week, children get a chance to meet other children who understand the rewards and challenges of having a brother or sister with a developmental disability in a fun and safe outdoor experience. Children will stay in a rustic setting just off of Main Camp where they will stay in cabins and cook meals over a fire. This site does not have running water or electricity, but campers will swim and shower at Main Camp throughout the week. Campers will have the opportunity to go fishing, hiking, camping, and many more exciting activities, as well as participate in activities specifically tailored to address what growing up as a sibling of a child with developmental disabilities is like. Siblings will join Main Camp for any special events throughout the week and Badger Ball at the end of the week.

Dubuque:
Explore the wonderful city of historic Dubuque, IA! Campers will have the opportunity to visit historic landmarks and explore museums. These may include places such as the Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium. The area's state parks offer opportunities for hiking, fishing, and enjoying the natural beauty Iowa has to offer.
Milwaukee:
Get ready for a whirlwind adventure packed with an aquarium visit, a tour of Miller Park, and more! Campers may also have the opportunity to see the Brewers take on the Blue Jays (subject to schedule change). Campers will spend some time exploring beautiful southeast Wisconsin. Activities may also include a visit to Milwaukee's Discovery World and the remarkable domes and botanical gardens.
Wisconsin Dells:
Explore all that Wisconsin Dells has to offer! Stay in a relaxing cabin swimming at the site's pool, campfires, and camp activities. Explore the Wisconsin Dells area with daily adventures to shows and attractions. Attractions may include a tour of the Dells in one of Wisconsin's Original Ducks, Tommy Bartlett's Exploratory, mini golf, and much, much more.
Old World Wisconsin:
What better way to celebrate the day of our country's independence than by spending it in a reenacted historical village? Tour houses and buildings relocated from all over Wisconsin to be a part of this town and watch a vintage baseball game complete with traditional commentary. Campers will also have time to spend hiking on the trails at Kettle Moraine State Park.
Twin Cities:
So you say you want a trip to the land of you betcha's and oh yeah's, eh? We have just the ticket! Join us for a week in Minnesota's Twin Cities where there will be shopping and amusement rides at the Mall of America, a chance to explore the Science Museum, see the beautiful Sculpture Gardens, and many more activities. You’ll be talkin' like the locals in no time, doncha know!
Spring Green:
Ever wish you had the chance to explore some of Wisconsin's famous architecture? Now is your chance! Participants will spend their week exploring The House on the Rock and Frank Lloyd Wright's Estate, including his house and the Hillside Studio and Theatre. Participants may also have the opportunity to explore Little Norway.
Green Bay:
Participants on this exciting adventure will travel to Green Bay for an opportunity to spend a day on Lambeau Field and touring the Hall of Fame. You may also travel to nearby Bay Beach for a day of fun in the sun, amusement park rides, beach games, and a visit to the wildlife exploratory. .
Houseboat:
Houseboat participants will enjoy the spectacular beauty of the Mississippi River valley. Participants will have the opportunity to experience a variety of activities including beach parties, cookouts, fishing, swimming, exploring the river's sand bars and more during your 4-day cruise on the Mississippi River.
